We got a place! As of August 1st we will have a new place and one with windows with a view. We have out current basement until August 31st, so yes we are paying rent on two places, but we have the whole month to move out. It'll probably take a couple weeks just to clean this dump out when we leave.
I didn't actually see the place until after I signed the lease. Cody did all the work and picked the place, I just showed up and signed on the dotted line. It's a townhouse type place with an unfinished basement, a main floor with a kitchen and living room and a second floor with two bedrooms and the bathroom. The outside is kinda ghetto, but the inside has new paint, new carpet, new cabinets and tile. We were told it's the nicest unit which makes me feel bad for everybody else living there. It only has washer/dryer hookups which means we'll need a washer and dryer. Some windows will need blinds/draperies too. I was thinking we could use a flag with a marijuana leaf on it, or tin foil, or some cardboard. I guess it's off to Ikea for something cheap if it comes to it.
Afterwards, we dined at Taco Bell. Taco Bell is one of those places where it's so nasty it can be good...maybe. Whatever you do don't order the fries supreme because the fries at Taco Bell are awful and making them "supreme" makes them 10,000 times more disgusting. Nachos supreme are fine though, so go with that.

Are you in the same 'hood?
Yeah, the new place is in the same area and it's a bit closer to work. To get there is a bit weird with cul-de-sacs and stuff, but again I've only been there once.
