Way back on May 29, 2015 I did a post, Friday night movie night, about a short movie called Kung Fury. The movie had just launched to watch for free on YouTube. I was one of the backers of the kickstarter back when they were raising money to make it bigger and better. The tier I bought in got me a free digital download of the movie, song downloads, behind the scenes videos and a physical blu-ray copy of the movie. It took nearly two years, but I finally got my copy of the blu-ray!!!
They had a lot delays and problems with making the blu-ray which is why it took so long to get made and shipped out. It still took forever to get around to even making the blu-ray, then original pressing had an audio issue with the sound being slightly out of sync. They pressed a second disc, but I believe while the movie itself had no problems there was a problem with one of the special features. The movie came with the original pressing and then a second disc in a plastic sleeve was stuck to the outside of the package, so I got both discs. I actually tried the original disc in blu-ray player and it doesn't even work. The second disc works fine though, so it's all good .Add to that they had problems with the company in charge of fulfilling and shipping out the orders.
The blu-ray is pretty good, HD and all the that of course, with some fancy animated menus with music. There are a ton of special features which include the following...

The blu-ray was only for backers of the movie, but they plan to release a version to everyone else sometime in the future. Until then you can still watch it FOR FREE on Netflix or YouTube.
